How do you actually drive a friggin Camel?

On Saturday, in Dubai, they made me jump on one and give it a rev.

After watching my fellow Bar One Manhunt contestants give it a swirl I thought it was not too bad, I mean surely, a camel people, it must be like a horse, just go forward. SURELY!!!

Well, no, it does not drive, look, handle or even sound like a horse. Camels, I have decided, are the most ridiculous animals in the racing world and must stay in the desert.

It is only the poor under-aged Camel Jockeys that can make that thing move, I am too big, too blonde, too impatient and lacking a turban, am not cut out for a career in the races of the dunes.

Thank you to Bar One and the production crew for the experience, but unfortunately my mind is made up, I’ll stick to a bakkie for transport.

The producers have just sent me the promo vid for this weeks show and I just hope it will do justice to what it actually felt like to jump off a cliff 110M above the Zambezi river and latch on to Chubster…

It was the best and the worst thing I have ever done.

It gives me shivers just to remember it.

Hey team,

One big thank you to everyone for your unbelievable support in the Bar One Manhunt.
The fact that absolute strangers have come up and said well done in the streets and spent their hard earned cash on me entertaining them has been special.
Just to think, with a camera, some crazy experiences and 3 mil viewers you can actually get some stuff done.

I am sure Bar One are very happy anyway.

Everyone should get out into the bush and put a 4×4 to the test, it is amazing what these machines are capable of.

The 4×4 challenge had us Bar One Men heading out to Nelspruit to put the Nissan Navara’s to the test. Very good looking cars, but a bit low on the clearance side of things. This didn’t deter us from taming the path ahead of us.

Steve and I rocked the challenege. Mr SA turned out to be one incredible navigator and even decied to get dirty for the cause of victory.

Landing after jumping out at 11000 ft

Hi Team,

I am sure you all saw last night. We Jumped out of Aeroplanes. It was amazing, the checklist of “Things to do before you die” is getting slimmer and slimmer.
The view from up there is incredible. I kind’ve have an idea of the view God has up in heaven looking down on creation. I bet he is cool with heights though.
I can’t say the same for the majority of us mere mortals on Earth.
When I realised I was jumping out of the aeroplane, at cloud level I realised what I was doing was Crazy.

Thanks to Bar One and to the guys at the Rustenburg Skydiving club it was an unforgettable day.

The kids down at Rustenburg, Bishops and Westerford are playing out of their boots. The little rockstars.
I went down to take part in the BRIC initiative at the V&A Waterfront last week to hand out a few BarOnes.
THe Cause- Habitat For Humanity
The Vehicle- Bicycles-
The Tone- Insanity-
The Time- 25hours-
The Atmosphere- elctric.
Yes these kids cycled for 25hours through the night at the V&A Waterfront.
When not cycling these guys were selling “BRICS” to raise funds to build houses in the CapeTown townships. In time for winter for more families to have rooves over their heads.
It is kids like these that are doing there little bit to overwhelm the world
